1. Introduction
Welcome to Period Calculator ("we," "us," "our," or "the Site"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle information when you use our website.
This Privacy Policy applies to all pages and tools on Period Calculator, including our period calculator, ovulation calculator, period tracker, safe period calculator, due date calculator, and all blog content.
This policy describes:
- What information we collect when you visit our site.
- How we use that information.
- How we use local browser storage and limited site preferences.
- Our current status regarding advertising and third-party analytics.
- Your rights regarding your personal information.
- How to contact us with privacy-related questions.
If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please discontinue use of our website.
2. Information We Collect
We collect two types of information:
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
We collect information you voluntarily provide when you use the following features:
Contact Form Drafts and Emails
Our contact page form validates your input locally in the browser and opens a prefilled email draft in your default mail app. We do not receive the form contents unless you choose to send that email.
If you send the email, we may receive:
- Your name.
- Your email address.
- The subject of your inquiry.
- The content of your message.
If you choose to send that message, it is transmitted through your email provider and ours as normal email correspondence. We use it only to respond to your inquiry, follow up where needed, and keep a reasonable record of the correspondence.
Calculator Inputs
Our calculators require you to enter dates and cycle-length information. Important: this data is processed entirely in your browser on the client side. We confirmed this against the current implementation of our calculator components, which do not send menstrual or fertility inputs to aPeriod Calculator API.
We do not transmit, store, or log any health data you enter into our calculators on our servers. Your menstrual health data stays on your device unless you choose to store tracking information locally in your own browser.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you visit Period Calculator, our current site code does not load third-party advertising networks, analytics providers, or similar behavior-tracking scripts. Like most websites, hosting and delivery infrastructure may still process limited technical request information such as:
- IP address, anonymized where possible.
- Browser type and version.
- Operating system.
- Referring URL.
- Pages visited on our site.
- Time and date of your visit.
- Time spent on each page.
- Device type such as desktop, mobile, or tablet.
We use that limited technical information for site delivery, security, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting. We do not currently use it for on-site behavioral advertising.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
3.1 To Operate and Improve the Site
- To deliver our calculators, blog content, and support features.
- To remember limited browser-side preferences and local tool data on your device when you choose to use those features.
- To diagnose performance, security, and abuse-related issues.
- To maintain and improve the clarity and reliability of the site.
3.2 To Respond to Your Inquiries
- To read and respond to emails you choose to send us.
- To keep a reasonable record of correspondence where needed for follow-up, legal, or operational purposes.
3.3 Advertising and Analytics Status
- We do not currently run third-party ad networks or analytics scripts on this site.
- If we enable advertising or analytics in the future, we will update this policy and any required consent flows before doing so.
3.4 Legal Compliance
- To comply with applicable laws and regulations.
- To protect the rights, property, or safety of Period Calculator, our users, or others.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your information for purposes other than those described in this Privacy Policy without your consent.
5. Advertising and Analytics Status
We do not currently use third-party ad networks, paid promotional units, or personalized advertising technology on this site.
If we add advertising or analytics features later, we will update this Privacy Policy, our Terms of Service, and any required consent mechanisms before enabling them.
6. Third-Party Services and Email Handling
Period Calculator does not currently rely on third-party analytics or ad networks in its live site code. Current third-party interactions are limited to the types described below.
6.1 Your Email Provider
If you use the contact page form, the site opens a prefilled `mailto:` draft. That means your message is ultimately sent through the email provider you choose to use, not through an on-site submission API.
Once you send the email, both your email provider and ours process the message as part of normal email delivery.
6.2 External Links and Medical References
Our articles and legal pages may link to third-party resources such as medical journals, health organizations, browser help pages, or government resources. Those sites have their own privacy practices.
6.3 Third-Party Tracking Scripts
We do not currently use social tracking pixels, third-party analytics providers, ad networks, or other behavior-tracking scripts on this website.
We also do not share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
7. Data Retention
We retain different types of data for different periods:
Contact Form Data
Emails you send us may be retained for up to 12 months from the date received, after which they are deleted when no longer needed for operational, legal, or support purposes.
Local Tool Data
Period tracker entries and similar local-first tool data remain on your device until you delete entries, use in-tool clear functions, or clear site data in your browser.
Calculator Data
Health data entered into our calculators is processed entirely in your browser and is never transmitted to or stored on our servers. We retain no calculator input data.
Preference Data
Banner acceptance and similar local browser preferences remain on your device until you clear site data, local storage, or cookies for this site.
8. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include:
- HTTPS encryption for pages and data served between your browser and our website.
- Limited access to inboxes used to respond to contact emails.
- Local tracker storage remains in your browser unless you choose to export or send it elsewhere yourself.
- Regular review of our data-handling practices.
Our on-site contact form does not submit data directly to our server. It opens your email app. Any message you choose to send is then subject to the security practices of the email providers involved.
However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If you believe your information has been compromised, please contact us immediately at contact@aigotowork.work.
9. Children's Privacy
Period Calculator is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
While our content relates to menstrual health, which may be relevant to adolescents, our website is designed for general audiences and does not specifically target users under 13.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child under the age of 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at contact@aigotowork.work. We will take steps to delete such information promptly.
If you are between 13 and 18 years of age, we encourage you to review this Privacy Policy with a parent or guardian before using our website.
